Privacy policy
Summary. Loomfall does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no crash or telemetry reporting, and no online features. Everything the app saves is written to your own headset and never leaves it.
What data the app processes, and why
- Your settings and progress. Your difficulty, seating and music volume choices, your best score for each difficulty, the furthest world you have reached and the world you chose to start in, and which tutorial hints you have already seen. This is written to the app's private storage on the headset so the game remembers it between sessions. It contains nothing that identifies you and is never transmitted.
- Your real walls (spatial data). With your permission (the headset asks you to allow spatial data), the first waves of each run take place in your real room: the app asks the headset's depth sensing where a line from your view meets a surface, and gets back that single point, never a camera or depth image. The game uses these points to place glowing portals on your walls while you play, and then discards them; nothing about your room is saved. If you decline the permission the game still works: the portals appear on virtual walls instead.
- Passthrough video. During the opening waves the app shows the headset's passthrough view of your room. The headset composites the camera image itself. The app never receives, records, analyses, or transmits the passthrough image and has no access to it as data.
- Hand, head and controller tracking. While you play, the headset supplies the position of your head, hands and controllers so the game can react to your punches, leans and ducks. These positions are used for the current frame and then discarded. They are never written to storage and never transmitted. Your eye height is read at the start of a run only to place the game around you.
- Ownership check. On launch, the app asks the Meta Quest platform whether the signed-in account owns Loomfall, which the Meta Horizon Store requires. Meta handles this request under its own privacy policy. The app receives only a yes or no answer and keeps no record of it.
What the app does not do
No data is used for advertising, profiling, training any model, or any purpose other than running the game on your headset. No data is sold or shared with any third party. The app has no servers and makes no network requests of its own.
Permissions
The app asks for these Meta Quest permissions, each only for the purpose described above:
- Spatial data (
com.oculus.permission.USE_SCENE): to find your real walls with depth sensing. The headset asks you before it is granted, and you can turn it off at any time in the headset's settings. - Hand tracking (
com.oculus.permission.HAND_TRACKING): so you can play with your hands instead of controllers. - Internet (
android.permission.INTERNET): added automatically by the game engine the app is built with. The app itself makes no network requests.
It does not request microphone, camera image access, location, contacts, or storage permissions.
Children
Loomfall is not directed at children, and it collects no data from anyone, including children.
How to delete your data
- In the game. On the start screen, punch RESET PROGRESS twice. This erases your best scores, the worlds you have reached and the tutorial progress.
- Uninstall. Uninstalling Loomfall deletes the app's private storage and everything in it.
- By email. Write to support@sevensecondsdown.com and we will confirm what is held for you, which is nothing on our side. We answer every request within 30 days.
